Whether they’re for work or play, utes are all about accessories.

New Zealand company Utemaster has a unique purpose-built canopy that can now be complimented by a rather innovative shelving system. Both are designed and built by Utemaster in NZ.

Centurion Canopy

Canopies are a must-have for many ute owners, but one of the big problems with most products that are constructed from glass fibre or plastic is restricted access, because the glass areas need to be kept small to maintain structural integrity.

The Centurion Canopy has aluminium construction which allows 200kg loading on top, full width side-access doors and no obstruction along the wellside. In fact, the company claims the

Centurion is the “most accessible canopy in the world”. Security is provided by concealed latches that mean the doors are locked on both sides, making them harder to pry open. Built-in rain channels also send water away from the inside of the tray when they’re opened in bad weather.

Removable Canopy Shelving Unit

The Removable Canopy Shelving Unit complements the full-width door access of a Centurion Canopy and provides an organised area to store tool cases, small parts and equipment inside your wellside. The company says it’s ideal for tradies because it's attached to the Canopy using a T-Track system, so when the working week is finished it can easily be removed for family/recreational use.

No drilling is required for initial fitment because the shelving fits into existing mounting points. The side supports have multiple pre-cut holes, so the height of each shelf can be adjusted according to needs. Nor does the shelving unit require fixing to the floor, as it’s completely suspended from the ceiling, leaving space for other items or wellside drawers. It’s rated for 30kg per shelf, with 60kg per side, and is easily customisable for essential equipment such as a fire extinguisher or the optional cable holder, which keeps cords in a safe place and tangle free.
