The 2024 Subaru WRX tS (tuned by STI) has made its New Zealand debut, representing the Japanese brand’s top-tier performance offering.
Available as a sedan or wagon, both models are priced at $67,990 and bring upgrades in power, precision and in-car tech to thrill-seekers and enthusiasts alike.
More power, better control

Under the bonnet, a 2.4-litre turbocharged Boxer engine generates 202kW and 350Nm of torque, ensuring the WRX retains its rally-bred performance DNA.
The eight-speed Subaru Performance transmission enhances driver engagement with quicker shifts and precise downshift control, while Subaru’s symmetrical all-wheel drive provides exceptional grip.
Subaru of New Zealand General Manager Tim Barns-Lawton credits the WRX with maintaining its status among performance vehicles: “The WRX takes pride of place in garages all over New Zealand and sets the benchmark against which all other performance cars are judged.”
Equipped with 10 Harman Kardon speakers, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the WRX tS offers modern connectivity. A USB-C charging port and two fresh paint options - Asteroid Grey Pearl and Ceramic White - further refine the package.

First launched in 1992, the WRX quickly gained cult status as a turbocharged pocket rocket. The 2024 tS continues that legacy, delivering cutting-edge performance features in a package built for both daily driving and spirited weekend runs.
New Zealand’s latest WRX tS is now available through Subaru dealerships nationwide, with stock arriving this month.
