36000

What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?

It was to be the only brand new car we would ever have. We were replacing a Nissan Leaf which no longer had quite the range we wanted.

What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.

The Yaris cross hybrid appealed for its ride height, its overall size, its safety features & its economy rating. The buying experience was also straightforward as it is an all in price set by Toyota with no haggling.

What have you discovered since owning the car?

It was originally rated at 3.9L per 100ks, then they revised that to 4.2L per 100ks. Since owning the car i have an overall economy of 4.1L per 100ks which I find is fantastic. On two long trips i have still averaged about that. On a trip south from Rangiora I filled up at 720ks & it took 30L. On a recent rip to Nelson via Blenheim, I gassed up with 24L at 585ks. It is quiet to ride in, handles well at normal speeds & is comfortable for a small car.

What do you like/dislike about the car?

I like pretty much everything about the car.

Lastly, would you buy this vehicle again?

Yes

Why would/wouldn't you buy it again?

Only reason I might change would be to go back to a full electric like a BYD Atto3 or similar. I did like the Nissan Leaf except for the range.
