Did you buy this car new or used?

New

How much did you pay? (including all on-road costs)

37500

What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?

Wanted a reliable bang for buck utility vehicle, was replacing an older RAV4 so going back to Toyota was a natural choice. Liked the space, higher riding position and usual SUV benefits.

What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.

An incremental rather than significant improvement on the older model. The safety tech (lane keep assist) was one of the main improvements. Drive and practicality the same really.

What have you discovered since owning the car?

The stand out has been the improved economy which for a petrol SUV is very good. Our long run average is less than 6.5 litres per 100km.

What do you like/dislike about the car?

Still like the low depreciation rate and running costs (servicing was capped for the first 4 years) but we did need a new battery last year which was a little surprising for a Toyota. Otherwise we are still on the original tyres and no other issues.

Any other comments on the car?

A boring review really but it's been a really good car. If you want more fun and style you'll probably need to spend a ton more cash.

Lastly, would you buy this vehicle again?

Yes

Why would/wouldn't you buy it again?

Undecided at this stage. Really want to keep it until 100,000 kms or more as this is better for the planet than going out and buying a new car.
