2022

How much did you pay? (including all on-road costs)

38000

What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?

I wanted a work car that was 'fit for purpose'. I chose this Prius PHEV as I could not acquire a Tesla Model 3 at pre price increase and I would have had to wait (back then) 9/12 months to get one. I guesstimated I drive between 30-50 kms a day in my job. My Prius fits the bill perfectly. I drive almost exclusively on EV and have only topped up the gas tank three times in 12 months (not an entire fill) and that was only because I was driving out of town! 99.9% of my driving is in town, nothing over 50 km/h speed limit.

What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.

Love the shape, colour (blue magnetism) and quietness, smoothness and acceleration capacity in need. Also has good boot space. It is an import and seemed very genuine

What have you discovered since owning the car?

How to drive almost exclusively on EV. Easy car to drive, super smooth. There is 'something' about driving an EV that one only experiences once you have driven one (I have driven a Tesla in the past).

What do you like/dislike about the car?

Wish I could get a few more kms out of it. 50 is definitely my max on new tyres. Easy to re-charge. Just plug in at night with three-pin power plug.

Any other comments on the car?

Would buy again. Great car for those that like 'thinking' about the car they are driving.

Lastly, would you buy this vehicle again?

Yes

Why would/wouldn't you buy it again?

Suits me and I stress, for me personally 'is fit for purpose' given what I use it for, where I live and where I drive.
