What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?
I owned a 2003 Mini Cooper from brand new. Perfect little manual to drive. Unfortunately, driving a manual in Auckland's peak times did my head in - over the consent gear changing. So, during Covid (I bought a motorcycle as well) used cars were cheap. I always wanted a Hilux and was in a position to own one -
What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.
I loved it, diesel, automatic, GPS the usual bells and whistles - the ride height was the seller for me. So much more room to be comfy in ( I'm 5' 10)
What have you discovered since owning the car?
still cheap to run compared to the Mini - to be honest. This will be the last car I will purchase. I'm planning on running this truck to the ground. Great drive on open roads
What do you like/dislike about the car?
Nothing to dislike - I'm cuffed I own a Hilux - it can be a bit big when parking in public. Handy transporting larger items. It just suits me down to the tee. Its not everyone's ideal form of transport. Just my wife and I so no kids to tag along - the rear seats have been in the folded up position since purchased. The km/s were low when purchased - basically a new car ( Toyota extended the warranty)
Any other comments on the car?
Nope - happy with purchase
