Do you buy this car new or used? - Used, purchased in 2019
How much did you pay? (including all on-road costs) - $33,325
What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?

I decided a hybrid fit my first step towards a full electric car (which are still too expensive) so purchased this vehicle via auction in Japan. It has certainly allowed me to reduce my running costs and contribute to reducing pollution and carbon into the atmosphere.

What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.

It looked sporty; exactly what I was looking for; was economical and reviewed well on many of the car review sites. It had a good sized engine just like my Toyota Will VS and earlier Toyota Cynos, although higher off the ground.

What have you discovered since owning the car?

No handbrake which I love as it gives me more room there for holding items and charging my phone. It holds well on hills as it doesn't roll back. It does have a lot of features that I don't really need like lane assist, or crash warning, but they are interesting none the less. Mechanics love the cleanliness of the car engine and it doesn't cost much to fill up.

What do you like/dislike about the car?

I totally love my car. I dislike that I have to put premium petrol in, but as I don't have to put that much in it is a good trade off.

I have the lovely green colour which is great for trying to find it in a crowded car park. I was so over grey, or silver which seems to be the predominant colour in this country.

Lastly, would you buy this vehicle again?

Yes

Why would/wouldn't you buy it again?

I love it and it has a great technology in the drive train, but the next car; fingers crossed; will be even better for the environment. Maybe a Toyota bZ4X :-)
