What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?

This car was brought to replace a 2012 Skoda Octavia TS1 118 Wagon. The car had to fulfil daily commuting, transporting mountain bikes to the forest trails, carrying teenagers to weekend activities, towing the trailer of rubbish to the refuse station plus the odd road trip. It meets all of these needs easily.

What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.

The car appealed to me because it was a wagon with all the versatility that a wagon brings and that it is not an SUV. The sporty nature of the car also appealed. The cars extra power over the 2012 Octavia 118 TSI was noticeable, I appreciated the smooth effortless power delivery. The cars handling was a noticable improvement over my previous car.

What have you discovered since owning the car?

The 225/35R19 tyres don't like some of Auckland's potholes and they are not cheap to replace. Heated seats, steering wheel and front windscreen are great in winter. It's an easy car to live with.

What do you like/dislike about the car?

Likes - versatility of a wagon - sports styling - easy power delivery - heated seats and steering wheel in winter Dislikes - Cost of tyres (thank you Auckland potholes)
