What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?

I bought it to commute to work. It has been a real money saver. No petrol to buy and very low maintenance

What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.

The car was advertised a lot and since i am over retirement age it was looking like something i could rely on and not too difficult to drive.

What have you discovered since owning the car?

I feel like i am born again. It's the best thing since sliced bread. I feel so comfortable in it and safe actually.

What do you like/dislike about the car?

I like everything about it. The only thing i wish there were more colour choices at the time. Oh and range. I can't say anything i dislike. I love my car.

Any other comments on the car?

I think as it's my first electric car it's a good place to start if you haven't driven one before. It does have guts it's a gutsy car even though it's small. I can tell you that every morning i go to work, you can guarantee i will upset the male ego. I leave them at the lights. Not because i speed it's because the leaf can take off at a moments notice. We trialed it this year and drove down to Levin in it. Not really a good idea but hey it was an adventure. What should have taken 7hrs took us 14hrs. We had to stop at Taupo as Turangi Charging station closed for repair. Prawn Farm charge, This got us about half way to Desert road then the car ran out of juice. Traveled to Waiouru on the back of a tow truck (hilarious!) Recharged to next stop Bulls charged again and then arrive at destination finally. Long tiring but learnt a lot about the car. It was well worth the trouble. Very comfortable car to travel in. The sooner they put the charging stations in the service stations the better then we don't have to go off the beaten track to charge them and especially some places if at night are dodgy. Big thumbs up to the Nissan Leaf. By the way i now also now drive electric cars at work they are Kona and Ioniq. Out of these too i like the Kona best. It feels like my car. For about a month now.

Lastly, would you buy this vehicle again?

Yes

Why would/wouldn't you buy it again?

I would buy this car again as its reliable. As i mentioned before, it just needs more range. And the powers that be provide more charging stations so it cuts down waiting time especially when on long trips.
