Did you buy this car new or used?

Used

If used, what year did you buy it used?

2018

How much did you pay? (including all on-road costs)

$25,000

What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?

I wanted a car that would take 3-4 people and luggage on trips and still be ok around town. Particularly I wanted a car that LOTS of power. This car does all that and more.

What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.

Very convenient sized package - not a Big car, but plenty of room. W204 (S204) C63s are relatively inexpensive to buy, especially compared to a similar aged BMW M3, plus you cant get a M3 wagon. Somewhat plasticky interior, although this is set off by the leather upholstery. The seats are very supportive. The exhaust noise is the real clincher, it sound fabulous. The acceleration is just amazing.

What have you discovered since owning the car?

All the brilliance comes at a cost, the C63 is very expensive to run, and maintain. It is very hard on tyres, with the wheels & tyres being much smaller than on comparable performance cars. Otherwise exceptionally easy to live with.

What do you like/dislike about the car?

Love, love, love the sound. Excellent amount of space. Looks like a regular C-class. Really good at eating those pesky liquid dinosaurs.
