Kilometres travelled - 10,000 - 25,000 km
Do you buy this car new or used? - New
How much did you pay? (including all on-road costs) - $100,000
What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?

We downsized from an supercharged V6 F Pace, and still wanted a car with space, pace and grace. It is a comfortable car with suitable performance and has met our needs as far as being the wifes daily driver, and our weekend travel car. Plenty of room for 2 of us, but 4 up dents performance, and no big bags please if heading away for a weekend. Ride and handling are great with the Pirelli tyres and so far, showing great wear characteristics. It is quieter than the F Pace, and although has a suitably growly engine sound in Dynamic mode, it aint an F Pace!

What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.

We liked the style and shape of the F Pace, and the wee Jag is a smaller version of the bigger car that we were familiar with and I loved. It is superbly comfortable, and pleasingly quiet, even on New Zealands broken roads. The ride has been a surprise in that is much better than the earlier F Pace.

What have you discovered since owning the car?

That it was a hungry gutted pussy cat! Fuel economy has improved the further the car has travelled, and now sits in the 9l/100km range when it was in the low to mid 10s when new. I like to drive a car, and am normally in Dynamic mode, where she drives in Comfort or even Eco mode. I consistently get better economy than she, so cant work that out! The technology upgrade from the old car was a welcome addition, as that was one of the only reasons the F Pace went - technology was poor as far as the bluetooth and entertainment systems went.

What do you like/dislike about the car?

Dislikes: The economy. The Supercharged F Pace used no more fuel than this 2 litre 4 banger. No park assist. The F Pace had it. Brilliant and I miss it, especially in the tight spots.

We love: The comfort, the ride, the colour (important!) and the ease of ownership. I said the F Pace was the best and cheapest car I had ever owned - 5 year servicing etc. This car has had nothing go wrong with it, apart from a recall just after purchase, and we are enjoying our ownership. It is a nice car to drive with great visibility. If you are in to the techno stuff, this car has plenty to keep one amused. Also helps keep it on the blackstuff.

In 12 months of ownership, no warning lights have come on, no trips required to the dealer and nothing has gone wrong with it. It is a lovely car to drive and has the required space, grace and some pace.

Lastly, would you buy this vehicle again?

No

Why would/wouldn't you buy it again?

I would consider another E Pace. Where we live and with what we do, an EV isn't anywhere on our radar. We could look at a Tiguan R, if you can get one. The dealership is local and probably getting more car for the money. It isn't a Jag though. . . .
