I have always wanted / dreamed of owning a Mustang since my High School years, Yes this car has fulfilled those dreams in lots of ways..
What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.
I especially like the latest shape from about 2015 till present, the colour appealed to me being Deep Dark Blue, and was a 4 cylinder, one owner done only over 16,000 Kms, and been well looked after. After a test drive explained to the salesman i had investments due within the next 2 months and wasn't prepared to break them. After some discussion the Finance Person allowed me to put a deposit on the car and would be locked away until paid off. Got back into my old reliable 1990 Lancer and drove home. I couldn't believe i was now a Mustang owner (once paid off). (This being March 2020 the next thing NZ was in Lock-down due to Covid-19 and a I had to wait till May 2020 till i could finally take car home.. so UTube was on my looking and learning about Ecoboost Mustangs.. (This would have been my longest wait in Time, apart from my Time in Hospital after my accident many years ago)
Couldn't get over the poor riding of the car at slow speeds around town streets. But a different car on long trips and the pickup the Mustang has from the small Turbo powered 310 HP engine...
I like driving my Mustang now especially on the longer trips. I had a feeling the Mustang having a small motor would have been smaller in size but no it's much the same specs as the V8 models. Owning this car over 2 years i don't have many dislikes now (Poor Riding) as i get used to driving around town and parking. Not having a spare wheel, i do now have a full sized spare wheel and tyre...
Any other comments on the car?
Being dark in colour it's hard to keep my Mustang clean, but once clean and shiny it's my Dream Car of waiting over 40 or more years to have one now which was almost new when i got it, it still had the tag on the passenger seat and all the paperwork it once had on the window.. Reliability: This Mustang as been very Reliable only the tyre pressure down on one tyre after its first service done, and on the 2nd service done they did something to the Key when they upload the software and i couldn't use key to unlock/lock so i had to take Mustang back to Mustang Key (Computer) to be sorted (Free of Charge)

Yes: if i won lotto and probably get the soft top model V8 Mustang
No: me being nearly now 70, this car will i hope last me till i can't drive again due to my age and health...I am a Mustang Fan now and take it for a drive on World Mustang Day on 17th April
