What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?

I needed a cheap car to run as travel was 35km's each way every day, plus other driving to drop kids to sport events, so 400 to 500km's per week. It also had to have good aircon and comfortable seat positioning.

What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.

It was cheap to buy compared to other cars similar age and it had low mileage and cheap running costs. When I took it for a test drive the 999cc engine really travels quickly up to 100km. The car was straight and in good condition, nearly new (21,000km's) and in my price range. Most of the car looked brand new.

What have you discovered since owning the car?

The 5.4 litre per 100k claim is not accurate. When mostly driving on motorways I was averaging 5.9 to 6.1 and suburbs driving is closer to 6.8 to 7.0. Overall I would usually get 600 to 700km's for a full tank of gas. The car is very good for parking (small and nimble steering). It is very good braking and holds very well on the road in turns. At extremely low speeds it is a little jerky on the accelerator.

What do you like/dislike about the car?

Speed off the mark is impressive and the handling is sharp. Overall it is cheap to run and everything works. It is easy to clean and always looks clean even when it hasn't been done for a while

Any other comments on the car?

Probably a really good car for a young person but I wouldn't recommend for a newly licensed driver, the ecoboost when it kicks in is just to quick for an inexperienced driver

Lastly, would you buy this vehicle again?

Yes

Why would/wouldn't you buy it again?

Nearly 5 years in and no issues and nearly 30,000km's of driving. It does all you need for a small, cheap, reliable car. Much faster than a Yaris or Jazz
