Are you ready to feel old? The mighty McLaren P1 hypercar, which still seems like such a recent thing, is now ten years old and on this week's episode of Zooming with DRIVEN (which you can watch here), Sam, Dean and David discuss the car and what its designer, Peter Stephenson, is up to now.

Part of the 'holy trinity' of electrified hypercars launched around the same time - the other two being the LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder - the McLaren P1 was a landmark vehicle for the development of high-performance hybrid cars - a 542kW 3.8-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 was combined with a 132kW lightweight electric motor to give a total of 673kW and provide levels of performance that are still extreme, even a decade down the track: 0-100km/h in 2.8 seconds, 0-200km/h in 6.8 seconds and 0-300km/h in 16.5 seconds, a full five seconds quicker than the legendary McLaren F1.

Is the P1 your ultimate dream car from the holy trinity of hypercars? Tell us in the poll below whether you would want the P1, the LaFerrari or the Porsche 918 parked in your garage.

But what of the man who designed the McLaren P1? Well, as David tells us in the video above, Frank Stephenson just revealed his latest design, but it isn't a hypercar.

In fact, it isn't even a car - but it is car-related. It is a baby seat for child safety tech company "babyark" and is designed to be the safest and most advanced product in its segment.

As well as a super-strong structure, the seat features 14 integrated sensors in its base to monitor a wide range of parameters. It signals to the caregiver if the seat is properly installed, and in addition via smartphone app it signals to the caregiver if the child passenger is properly buckled. The babyark seat won the Innovation Award at the global Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this year.
