- Xiaomi SU7 Ultra marks the brand’s first-ever entry into Gran Turismo.
- The EV features a tri-motor setup producing 1139 kW/635Nm.
- Gran Turismo 7 will replicate the vehicle’s real-world driving dynamics.
Xiaomi’s high-performance SU7 Ultra EV is getting the Gran Turismo treatment, marking the brand’s first official appearance in the long-running racing sim.
Announced during the opening round of the 2025 Gran Turismo World Series, the partnership brings the SU7 Ultra to both PlayStation 4 and 5 versions of Gran Turismo 7.
It’s a major move for Xiaomi’s rapidly growing EV arm, showcasing not only its halo model in one of the world’s most respected driving simulators but also highlighting how serious the brand is about real-world performance.
Not just a pretty interface
Behind the flashy screen render is some serious hardware. The SU7 Ultra boasts a tri-motor “HyperEngine V8s” system producing a staggering 1139kW, peak torque of 635NM and a top speed beyond 350km/h. It clocks the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just 1.98 seconds - numbers that wouldn’t look out of place in a hypercar spec sheet.
Track validation plays a big role in Xiaomi’s development strategy. The brand’s EV team tests extensively at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, with up to 21 carbon fibre parts integrated into the vehicle’s body for weight balance and luxury finesse.

Chief Test Driver Zhoucan Ren says their Nurburgring presence is ongoing: “Our team will maintain a continuous presence… to relentlessly refine our products and push the boundaries.”
Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi was also hands-on during a recent visit to Xiaomi’s EV plant in Beijing. He took the SU7 Ultra for a spin and came away impressed, praising the brand’s “courage, curiosity, passion, and relentless dedication” - qualities he felt aligned with the simulator’s own philosophy.
More than a cameo
This isn’t just a one-off render drop. Xiaomi and Gran Turismo will co-develop a virtual Vision Gran Turismo concept car as part of the longer-term partnership.
Meanwhile, the SU7 Ultra will be integrated with all its real-world dynamic tuning intact - ensuring the drive feels just as sharp in-game as it does on the Nordschleife.
Now, with one foot in gaming and the other on the podium, Xiaomi and its SU7 Ultra are well-placed to impress both digital racers and real-world enthusiasts alike.
