The Winger Group has invested more than $16 million dollars to set a new benchmark in New Zealand for exclusive, personalized customer service with opening of Winger Maserati in Newmarket, Auckland.
“This is one of the most significant investments that the Winger Group has made in its 85 year history,” says Wayne Leach, Managing Director of the Winger Group. “It is a clear sign of our commitment to Maserati and our desire to deliver a level of personalized, exclusive customer service that fully matches Maserati’s products and which reflects the unique history of Maserati and its contribution to the industry.”
Spread over two levels at 21 Great South Road, Newmarket, the new Maserati dealership has been completely refitted to meet Maserati exacting design standards and uses materials and even furniture made in Italy exclusively for the dealership. It includes a special studio, or Atelier as it is known in Italy, in which customers may chose the colours, options and trims for their new Maserati.
The Atelier includes samples of everything from fine leathers, fabrics, carpets and silks to alloy wheels and brake calipers, as well as stitching and beading samples. A café serves the finest Italian coffee and pastries. Up to 12 different Maseratis will be on display under lighting worthy of a photographic studio. Wide screen high definition screens display the latest Maserati videos.
“Owning a Maserati is unique experience,” explains Steve Hilson, General Manager of Winger Maserati. “This starts the moment a client makes contact with Maserati and really comes into its own when they arrive at Winger Maserati, with the entire process of becoming a Maserati owner as personalized to their needs as their new Maserati will be a personal reflection of their tastes and desires. Winger Maserati delivers that bespoke service with both latest technology, with computers showing clients exactly what their new car will look like, through to the traditional method enabling clients to touch and feel samples of the fine materials from which their car will be made.”
“Of course, driving Maserati is an essential part of that experience and we will be offering a range of unique Maserati driving experiences in New Zealand, Australia and Europe in conditions ranging from race tracks to even frozen lakes under the tutelage of some of the most skilled racing drivers in the world,” Mr Hilson adds.
Complementing the showrooms is a sophisticated and well equipped new service area in which factory trained technicians will service and maintain the Maserati range.
“The Maserati range uses some of the most sophisticated and advanced automotive technology to ensure its products offer superlative performance,” says Guy Starling, After Sales Manager. “To keep their cars at peak performance, Winger Maserati has invested in the latest service technology, some of which is unique to Maserati, and our technicians have been fully trained by Maserati.”
The launch of the new Winger Maserati dealership is part of a global growth in Maserati, fueled by the re-born Maserati Quattroporte, driven by new models such as the Ghibli and the Levante and epitomized by Maserati’s sports cars, the GranTurismo and GranCabrio. These new models have significantly increased Maserati sales around the world, but it has not come at the expense of the personalization and exclusivity that is a hallmark of the Maserati legend as much as Maserati being a byword for performance and style.
“Central to this growth has been a clear conviction that as Maserati sales have grown, there must not be any degradation of customer service and the essential exclusivity of Maserati ownership,” says Glen Sealey, Chief Operating Officer of Maserati Australia, New Zealand South Africa. “Winger Maserati epitomizes this. Their new business matches the new scale of Maserati with Ghibli and Levante bringing new clients to Maserati, but at the same time, the quality and depth of their investment, the facilities and people will mean that these new clients will enjoy not just the same, but even better levels of personal customer service which is a hallmark of Maserati ownership worldwide.”
