Here's a video of that huge, incredible Lego Technic Porsche getting assembled

Granted, this isn't exactly the sexist piece of video for your boss and co-workers to spot you watching during today's lunch break. But it's easily more mesmerizing than whatever the heck they've got playing.

We first featured Lego's stupidly complex, Technic-edition 1:8 scale Porsche 911 GT3 a few months ago, and I remember swearing then and there that I wanted not one, but three.

But looking at the amount of work that goes into turning it from 2,704 hunks of plastic into a full model car, I may reduce my order from three to one. Maximum. This looks like work.

The folks at Brick Builder have uploaded their 'speed build' mega cut of a Technic Porsche build, and by crikey it looks to be more complicated and challenging than dealing with some real 1:1-scale cars.

Of course, the Lego purist will state that the satisfaction of putting it together piece by piece is just part of the joy of collecting. That fingering each and every piece over a glass of wine or chocolate milk next to a roaring fire is their perfect idea of a Saturday evening.

Personally, I think I'll stick to models where all of the hard work was done by someone in China.
