This weekend marks the final round of the 2017 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship. Five drivers are a mathematical chance at the title, but really the bulk of the focus is on Jamie Whincup and Kiwi Scott McLaughlin (fellow Kiwis Fabian Coulthard and Shane van Gisbergen also remain in the hunt, albeit in a distant capacity).
The biggest potential spoiler for anyone in that championship picture this weekend will probably be the brand new racing circuit on Newcastle's picturesque beach side.
It looked like a toughie in the initial renders and pictures, but nobody has summed up the potential for incident and tight wall-riding racing better than Aussie motorsport institution Mark Larkham, in his latest video for Ten Motorsport. Check it out above.
In it, Larkham notes the extreme off-camber on several corners and straights, the tight nature of the circuit, and the general potential for unforced error to create havoc come race day. He might not be a former Bathurst or series champ, but 'Larko' remains one of the most switched-on motorsport minds in the business.
It's going to be an incredible weekend of racing... hopefully ending on Sunday afternoon with a Kiwi of some description holding aloft the championship trophy.
