- The Porsche Cayenne Electric debuts globally later this year, introducing the new Flow Display.
- Standard features include electrically adjustable rear seats and a variable-opacity panoramic roof.
- Porsche’s AI-powered Voice Pilot and Digital Key integrate seamlessly with smartphones and more.
When Porsche promised its first fully electric Cayenne would “redefine the interior experience,” it wasn’t exaggerating.
Due for global debut later this year, the Cayenne Electric swaps knobs and switches for what Porsche calls the Flow Display: a seamless digital sweep that now claims the title of the largest display surface in any Porsche.
Tech meets tactility
The Flow Display curves elegantly across the dashboard, merging OLED screens into a unified command centre. There’s a 14.25-inch digital cluster, a 14.9-inch optional passenger screen for streaming and app control, and even an 87-inch augmented-reality head-up display that projects lane guidance right onto the driver’s view.
“Our goal was to combine quintessential Cayenne characteristics and the newly developed display surfaces with the features of the new Porsche Digital Interaction into a harmonious overall package,” explains Markus Auerbach, Director Interior Design at Style Porsche.
Comfort, but make it clever
Every seat in the Cayenne Electric now plays a part in the experience. Electrically adjustable rears come standard, while Mood Modes choreograph lighting, sound, temperature and seat settings to match the drive, from calm to spirited.
The panoramic roof adds flair too, as it’s Porsche’s largest ever, able to shift from Clear to Matte or two semi-transparent settings at the press of a button. Surface heating extends beyond the seats to door panels and armrests, creating a cocoon without relying solely on hot air vents.
Infinite customisation, digital brains
Buyers can choose from 13 colour combinations, four interior packages and five accent kits - even a Pepita-print Race-Tex interior for those skipping leather altogether. A dedicated Themes App lets owners sync the car’s digital palette to match the cabin, blending the physical and virtual.
For the tech-minded, Porsche’s new Voice Pilot adds AI muscle. The assistant understands follow-up questions without wake words and can tweak temperature, seat heating or lighting on demand. Add the Porsche Digital Key (stored on your phone or watch, with up to seven sharable users) and the Cayenne Electric doesn’t just recognise you; it anticipates you.
The result is a digital cockpit that still feels unmistakably Porsche: sleek, exacting and just a little obsessive about detail.
