He may stir up a considerable amount of controversy, but trash talking UFC megastar and current featherweight champion, Conor McGregor, has some seriously good taste in cars.
While McGregor has been putting a lot of effort in the gym in preparation for his upcoming fight on March 5 at UFC 196, he took some time off over the weekend and utilized his booming social media presence to show off his Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 and Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe while at his current training camp in Venice Beach, California.
Both cars are a perfect fit for the trash-talking UFC champ with the 521kW (700HP), 350 km/h capable V12 Aventador a great fit for McGregor’s hard and fast striking; while its sleek, aerodynamic frame fits his position as the most stylish man in the UFC. Given his love of accessories, we're sure that the champ has customised his Aventador to the max which has a base price of US$390,000* (NZ$595,000).
The regal Phantom Drophead Coupe on the other hand with its DOHC 48-valve V-12, six-speed transmission and all around baller cool factor, not to mention a base price tag of US (NZ$637,500) - although knowing McGregor he will have seriously tricked this ride out, and we’re betting that he spent nothing short of a million on it, because, well he can - lays claim to McGregor’s status as the UFC’s first $100 million athlete, and biggest showboater in mixed martial arts.
No matter what the results are at UFC 196 you can bet that McGregor will be arriving in style.
Please note: Stated US prices do not reflect the price of these drool-worthy cars in New Zealand.
