Toyota and its luxury brand Lexus look to be gearing up for a massive couple of years as a recent leak may have just confirmed a raft of new and refreshed models for 2021 and 2022.

While there is a lot to unpack in the leak that reportedly came from a recent dealer conference, there are a few highlights to go over first, including the confirmed GR86 sports car.

Since late last year, the world has been pretty confident that the next-generation Toyota 86 would be receiving a turbocharged engine courtesy of Subaru. The leak seemingly confirms this GR86, complete with a 190kW engine and a more plush interior.

Next on the list may be a US exclusive, but the refreshed Land Cruiser sounds pretty cool. This model is set to be a stripped-back five-seat off-roader that removes all luxuries and only contains the essentials.

At the other end of the spectrum sits the new Lexus LX. This SUV is moving away from the Land Cruiser in market positioning, and will be an "insane" luxury SUV to compete with the Bentley Bentayga. It will be powered by a hybrid V6, be ridiculously expensive, and is set for a 2022 release.

Next year, we should see a Corolla crossover hit the market. This is something that was bound to happen at some point, and frankly, we're surprised we haven't seen it sooner.

Lexus is set to bring the LC F to market in 2022. Powered by a twin-turbo V8 and looking like a million bucks, don't expect this thing to fall under $300,000 once it lands here.

A new Lexus IS will be released next year. This is rumoured to be powered by the BMW-sourced straight-six in the Supra, but don't expect to see any turbochargers strapped on the side here.

Again, this information hasn't been verified by any official at Toyota, so don't take it too seriously. But it's all in line with what Toyota and Lexus has been hinting at over the past few years, so it's probably true.

But take it with a grain of salt.
