Triumph has unveiled a unique Speed Twin 1200 cafe racer to mark the 2026 Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR), with the custom machine set to be awarded as this year’s top prize.
The global charity ride, scheduled for May 17, brings together riders worldwide to raise funds for men’s mental health and prostate cancer research, with Triumph continuing its long-standing role as official motorcycle partner.
A one-off with proper character

Built as a single example, the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer DGR Edition blends classic British styling with bespoke detailing.
The standout feature is a Harris Tweed seat, made using handwoven fabric from the Outer Hebrides in an unusual but deliberate nod to the event’s tailored aesthetic.

The bike also carries a “15 Years of Dapper” anniversary graphic, number board and a certificate of authenticity, reinforcing its status as a one-off rather than a limited run.
Visually, it leans into traditional cafe racer cues, with clip-on handlebars, a low riding position and a streamlined single-seat profile. Finishing touches include Competition Green and Aluminium Silver paintwork, matched with subtle detailing such as machined bar-end mirrors and sculpted knee pads.
Modern hardware underneath
Despite the retro look, the mechanical package is thoroughly current. Power comes from Triumph’s 1200cc Bonneville parallel twin, producing 77.2kW and 112Nm. The engine’s 270-degree firing order and low-inertia crank are designed to deliver immediate throttle response and strong torque across the rev range.
Chassis components are similarly high-spec. Fully adjustable Marzocchi front forks are paired with Öhlins rear suspension, while braking is handled by twin 320mm discs with Brembo Stylema calipers. Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tyres complete the setup, pointing to performance that goes beyond just looks.
Ride, fundraise, win

Unlike previous prize formats, the 2026 Gentlefolk Competition is open to all registered riders who complete a set of participation and fundraising requirements. Once those are met, entry into the draw is automatic—regardless of total funds raised.
Triumph will also award additional motorcycles to the top three global fundraisers, adding another incentive for participants.
The DGR continues to grow, with 127,000 riders taking part across 108 countries in 2025, raising US$7.6 million for Movember.
This latest one-off machine is a reminder of what the event has become: a global ride with a cause, wrapped in a bit of style and a lot of character.
