Toyota upgrades Previa people mover
Toyota New Zealand has upgraded the features and sliced $480 off the price of the Previa eight-seater people mover.
The new model, which costs $59,990, includes privacy glass, reversing camera, front and rear parking sensors and an emergency stop signal.
The 2.4-litre Previa includes a 6.1 inch touchscreen display for the audio and reverse camera, a new 4.2-inch LCD colour multi-information centre and controls on a new three-spoke steering wheel.
“Though the SUV segment is growing, the ability to cater to eight passengers plus storage is still an undeniable edge for Previa,” said Spencer Morris, Toyota New Zealand’s general manager of product.
Changes included improving the quality of the interior and added safety features, bringing the Previa in line with other Toyota models, at a lower price.
The Previa was now a dedicated minivan with the feel, performance and comfort of a car, and the adaptability of a wagon.
The vehiclehas achieved EURO5 emission compliance and the vehicle maintains a 5-Star NCAP safety rating with standard features such as seven airbags, stability control, traction control, hill start assist, anti-lock braking with brake assist and electronic brake-force distribution.
The eight seats have three-point seat belts and there are three tether anchors and two ISOFIX points on the Previa.
The Previa has been part of Toyota’s model range in this country for more than 25 years.
