200hp+ in what appears to be a rolling viagra pill; a potent combo
Ever had an awesome idea, only to realize that you didn't have the funds, time, or insanity to make it happen?
JA Motorsport in India had the idea of powering a Tata Nano with a superbike engine. Then, they made it.
Autocar India recently got to have a toy with the little bright-blue fighter, and it's clearly something quite impressive to drive. The new engine (produced by an unnamed brand, though it's most likely a tickled 1.3-litre Suzuki Hayabusa unit) delivers more than 200hp — a growth of at least 160hp over what a bog standard Nano produces.
Though, not much from the standard Nano remains. This 'Super' Nano features plenty of kit from an open-wheeled F3 race car, including suspension, brakes, and part of its tubular chassis. Outside, there's obviously a brilliantly obnoxious aero package consisting of a whopping diffuser, huge fender flares, and some impressive grooved slicks.
It's not road legal, but how incredible would a single-make series comprised entirely of these little blighters be?
