How rich do you have to be to forget you own a Ferrari? Having a net worth of $200 million might just do it.

That memory lapse was claimed to be the case for pop icon Justin Bieber  two months ago, when he was reported to have 'lost' his custom Ferrari 458 Italia for three weeks - until he remembered that he'd left the vehicle in a hotel car park before a night of partying.

Well, that very car can now be bought - and in future probably be less likely to be mis-placed - as Justin has decided he no longer needs the supercar.

The car is a 2011 Ferrari 458 Italia, which would would have set a US buyer back about $270,000 when new, or cost a UK buyer £180,000. A 2011 model can currently be bought second-hand from about $180,000 in the US, or £160,000 in the UK.

But this electric blue Ferrari 458 is far from standard. In fact, it's white underneath, as Arizona auction house Barrett-Jackson reveals in the description on its site.

Being sold at the Scottsdale event, in Arizona, on January 21, the 4.5-litre V8 Ferrari has been treated to wealth of additions, including the unique blue wrap that's been put on the exterior.

The auctioneer has declined to put a guide price on the car, but it does have an undisclosed reserve.

Much of the cosmetic work has been carried out by American tuner West Coast Custom - a car customising company that shot to fame in the Pimp My Ride TV series over a decade ago.

The 570bhp beast features one-off Liberty Walk body kit that comprises of an extended front splitter, wider side skirts and a whopping rear spoiler.

On the inside Justin could have enjoyed his raft of chart-topping hits with a massive 2,000-watt 10-inch subwoofer, which is just one of many bespoke features, including blue trimmings to match the electric exterior.

Even the rims are special - they're one-off 20-inch Forgiato alloys.

But the 202mph car isn't perfect, and bares some of the scars of Mr Bieber's driving history.

According to the report, on the 26th August 2014 the car was damaged in California after being involved in a rear-end collision, though the airbags didn't go off.

That will come as little surprise to those who have tracked the 22-year old's driving misdemeanors.

These include being pulled over for speeding in 2012 in a Fisker Karma electric car, six speeding infractions behind the wheel of a Lamborghini Aventador in Dubai in 2013 and being caught making an illegal turn in this very car in 2015.

A report in November revealed how the young star apparently parked the Ferrari at a fancy Beverly Hills hotel before heading out for a night on the town - and then forgot where he parked it.

It took three weeks for an assistant to finally track the supercar down to the parking garage of the upscale Montage Hotel where, Bieber had left it in the care of valets, the Daily Star newspaper reported in November.

No reason was given for why the car is now available at the Arizona auction, though it could possibly be a case of making room for Mr Bieber's fleet of other luxury performance cars, which includes a £1 million Ferrari LaFerrari, a couple of Lamborghinis, the electric Fisker Karma, a Porsche Turbo and an Audi R8.
