When it comes to showing off how well a 400hp hot hatch can slide, is there any better way of doing it than in the snow?
It looks like Mercedes have answered this question perfectly with this teaser for the new A-Class AMG that's expected to hit the market sometime in 2020.
While the previous generation of the A45 AMG was known for its pace in a straight line, the updated version looks like it loves to get sideways in the same fashion of other AMG badged cars in the Mercedes line-up.
There are going to be two versions of the updated hot hatch, the A45 and the A45 S, the first hot hatch to adopt the S badge.
They will both receive an updated 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, but the power outputs will differ between models.
The regular A45 will produce 285kW, while the A45 S, that is shown in the teaser video, will produce an absolutely mental 310kW.
This power will get down to the wheels through a brand new 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and an all-wheel-drive system that can be adjusted to send all the power to the rear wheels.
Mercedes are expected to unveil the car at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, and the car is expected to hit international showrooms in 2020.
