Suzuki has expanded its dealership network into South Auckland, appointing Southern Autos Manukau a Suzuki dealer.

It is the first time the Japanese franchise has had representation in the South Auckland market, and brings the number of dealerships throughout the country to 33.

From this month, the dealership will operate in a purpose-built facility on the corner of Great South Road and Bakersfield Place, just off the Southern Motorway and opposite Westfield Manukau City.

A subsidiary of Colonial Motor Company, which has an industry heritage dating back to 1908, Southern Autos opened in 2014, and also has the Isuzu, Peugeot and Citroen brands.

“This is a perfect fit for us, and Suzuki complements the other products we sell,” said Southern Autos dealer principal Andrew Craw. “Suzuki is a strong brand with a very good reputation, and has been topping surveys and winning award.”

“Buyers in South Auckland are particularly conscious of pricing and reliability, so securing Suzuki provides us a great range of new SUVs and compact cars that offer excellent value for money,” he said.

The general manager of automobile marketing for Suzuki New Zealand, Gary Collins, said expansion of Suzuki representation into South Auckland was significant for the brand’s growth in the city.

“We’re delighted to form a partnership with such a reputable and experienced dealer group,”

He said Southern Autos Manukau was in a prime location and had a great team that would provide a high level of service to current and new Suzuki customers in South Auckland.

He said Suzuki was one of NZ’s fastest growing new car franchises with a range of compact, efficient models, including the most popular car for private buyers, the Suzuki Swift, the new Ignis hatchback and the Vitara SUV.
