So here's something you don't see every day: Historics Auctioneers in the UK recently offered a Suzuki Jimny 6-wheeler for sale at its Symphony of Spring event at Ascot Racecourse. It suggests the vehicle is a "completely unique build". No kidding.

You can't fool us; we know exactly what you were thinking.

According to the auction blurb, the vendor was inspired by a rendering of such a thing when the Jimny was released and set about building their own. But given the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen provided styling inspiration for the 2019 Jimny, you'd have to think the G 63 6x6 (2013-15) was also front of mind.

The 3dr Jimny was stretched by a company called Mocho Fabrication in the UK (very do-able given the Jimny is built on a truck-like ladder frame), with many genuine Suzuki parts including the extra rear axle and guards. Yes, you need two Jimnys to make this one... Jimny.

It remains a 4x4, meaning the extra set of back wheels are really just for show. But what a show.

Project required two Jimny 3drs to make one Jimny 3dr. With extra wheels.

Trendy shades of grey and wireless phone projection were not available for Jimny when this particular vehicle was built in 2019 (they are now), but the 6-wheeler has been resprayed in Audi Nardo Grey and the infotainment upgraded to a Kenwood Apple CarPlay unit.

The owner has also upped the luxury, with black and grey quilted leather upholstery.

We love the teeny tiny ute-tray. Two spare wheels are included. It's only done 11,000km in six years, so hardly driven. Can't imagine why.

The Jimny 6 was offered at Symphony of Spring on March 1 for an estimated NZ$90,000-$100,000, but no sale was listed. So it could still be yours.
