- Steve Irwin's '82 Troop Carrier sold by Collecting Cars in Australia.
- Final price no higher than typical classic Cruisers of the same age.
- Vehicle features Ford V8 and many other modifcations.
A 1982 Toyota Land Cruiser Troop carrier once owned by Steve Irwin was sold this month by Collecting Cars for what seems like a bargain price: just A$40,000 (NZ$44,500), making it no more expensive than many other comparable Cruisers of the era.

Check out our original story on the vehicle here. But to recap, the HJ467 Troop Carrier was formerly used by Irwin's Australia Zoo before being sold to a private owner in 2013, who made extensive modifications - including an engine-swap to a Ford petrol V8.
The vehicle is adorned with green-coloured "The Crocodile Hunter" lettering in the authentic typeface, along the sides and bonnet.
It was sold with a history booklet and a letter from Steve’s son, Robert Irwin, authenticating the vehicle’s provenance.
