Specialist vehicle insurer Star Insure has joined the Street Smart young-driver training programme as an official partner.
Street Smart is an almost-100% practical course held in a closed environment, designed to help young drivers understand vehicle dynamics, manage distractions and improve their decision-making behind the wheel. The programme was revitalised in 2022 with support from Tony Quinn Foundation, with Subaru of New Zealand joining as official vehicle sponsor last year (although participants drive their own vehicles for most of the course).

Star Insure specialises in "tailored insurance solutions for nice motor vehicles, specialist and enthusiast cars, motorbikes, and campers". The company says it will be "actively involved in supporting the prgramme's delivery across the country, enabling more young drivers to access vital training and education".
