  • Enyaq returns in Sportline RWD and RS AWD models.
  • Specification increased across the range.
  • RS is Skoda's most powerful production car ever.

After a bit of a hiatus in New Zealand, the Skoda Enyaq is coming back - in facelifted form and with an RS AWD model now topping the lineup. While it's still listed as coming soon ("late 2005/early 2026") on Skoda NZ's website, the company has confirmed pricing and specification.

Sportline was previously the flagship Enyaq for NZ. Note new 'Tech Deck Face'.

The refreshed Enyaq comes in two versions: the $89,000 Sportline and the $99,000 RS. Both are the SUV body shape; there's no word yet on whether the Coupe version, which is still produced by the factory and was previously sold here, will rejoin the Kiwi range.

The Sportline has an 82kWh (77kWh usable) battery and 210kW/545Nm rear-mounted electric motor, while the RS has an 84kWh (79kWh) battery and adds a front motor, for peak power of 250kW.

The RS powertrain (the most powerful production car in Skoda's history) is similar to the Cupra Tavascan VZ and Volkswagen ID. Buzz GTX, with identical outputs; all are on the VW Group MEB EV platform.

RS gets 250kW, lowered sport chassis and bigger brakes.

The RS sport chassis lowers the front axle by 15mm and the rear by 10mm. It has a more dynamic damper set-up and features 15 settings for damper stiffness. Driving Mode Select offers a special traction mode tailored to the all-wheel drive.

The RS variant has more powerful brakes on the front axle, with two-piston callipers. Two external sounds, Sport and Futuristic, are assigned to the different driving profiles or can be selected in Individual Mode via the infotainment menu’s driving profile option.

Launched in NZ simultaneously with the Elroq compact-SUV, the new Enyaq wears a similar "Tech-Deck Face" and features LED Matrix beam headlights with a four-eye design.

The Tech Deck houses cameras and sensors for the driver-assist and safety systems. Another new feature is the Light Band with fine, vertical “eyelashes” illuminated by LEDs.

The interior features a 5-inch Digital Cockpit and central 13-inch infotainment display. A head-up display with augmented reality is standard in the Enyaq RS.

Standard equipment on both includes "Kessy" Advanced with Open-On-Approach and Walk-Away Locking as well as heated front seats, and 3-zone Climatronic for all models.

"Simply Clever" details include a QR code in the boot linking to its features (new for Enyaq), an ice
scraper with a tyre tread depth gauge integrated into the boot door panel, an umbrella in the driver’s door compartment, and mobile phone pockets on the backs of the front seats.

The boot also offers two bag hooks and a retractable boot cover, which can be operated with a single touch. The electric tailgate has Virtual Pedal as standard.

Other convenience features include the Heaters function, which automatically turns on up to four heating features, and fast-charging front and rear USB-C ports with up to 45W.
