A limited edition, James Bond-themed Aston Martin will make a guest appearance at this weekend’s Big Boys Toys event in Auckland, alongside a performance Lamborghini and a famous Honda MotoGP bike.
Held at ASB Showgrounds from Friday to Sunday, the Bond Edition Aston Martin DB9 GT will be featured in the Driven Hall. Also on display will be a 2016 Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV, a Jaguar F-Type, Porsche 918 Spyder and Honda MotoGP factory race bike ridden by current world champion Marc Marquez.
The Bond Edition is limited to 150 examples worldwide, and is based on the recently launched DB9 GT.
With a 50-year association with the famous Bond film franchise, the Aston Martin on display at Big Boys Toys includes specially themed accessories both inside and out of the car.
The DB9 GT Bond Edition has a 6-litre V12-engine and features unique Spectre Silver paint, sterling silver Aston Martin badges front and rear, and discreet ‘007 Bond Edition’ exterior badges.
The DB9 GT has has 10-spoke gloss black diamond-turned 20-inch alloy wheels; bright aluminium bonnet vents, side strakes and grille; carbon fibre front splitter and rear diffuser and grey brake calipers.
These embellishments add to the car’s luxurious interior environment which includes unique fluted leather; an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel and a satin carbon fibre centre console surround.
The Driven Hall will also feature vehicles from the major car brands plus bikes from Harley-Davidson, Indian and Victory.
