Mercedes-Benz New Zealand has released the prices of its latest high performance Mercedes-AMG C 63 S range of sport sedan, coupe, cabriolet and estate models.
The models are powered by a bi-turbo V8 engine that generates 375kW of power and 700Nm of torque, and are fitted with an AMG Speedshift MCT 9G transmission with wet start-off clutch which the company says allows faster bursts of speed and more spontaneous responses to driver commands.
The AMG traction control system enables the slip on the rear axle to be controlled in nine stages, to improve the driving dynamics of the vehicle.
Mercedes-Benz New Zealand said orders were now being taken for the C 63 S range. The sedan will cost $168,8000, the estate $170,800, the Coupe $173,300, and the cabriolet $193,400.
The new models have a more muscular appearance than their predecessors, especially at the front.
They include a new fully-digital cockpit with a new AMG Performance steering wheel, with an integrated controller beneath the right-hand steering wheel spoke that allows the driver to switch between AMG driving programmes more easily.
The sedan is said to do the zero to 100 kp/h sprint in just 4 seconds, giving an idea of how swift the new models are.
