Refreshed Ioniq 6 debuts with sporty N Line variant.

Refreshed Ioniq 6 debuts with sporty N Line variant.

Hyundai has unveiled the updated Ioniq 6 at the Seoul Mobility Show, refining the sleek EV's original design with cleaner lines and a more aerodynamic profile.

The facelift introduces Hyundai’s ‘Pure Flow, Refined’ design language, which focuses on enhancing visual coherence across the body.

Subtle changes like a raised bonnet line, shark-nose front end and extended ducktail spoiler replace the previous model’s prominent rear wing, all aimed at improving airflow and aesthetics.

Up front, the updated lighting signature separates the slim daytime running lamps from the main headlights, giving the EV a cleaner, more technical appearance. A wider stance is achieved via revised bumper treatments and lower-body black trim that now runs across the doors.

Inside, the cabin carries over the calming ‘Mindful Cocoon’ concept but gains functional upgrades.

A redesigned steering wheel and improved trim materials raise perceived quality, while the centre console has been reworked for better usability.

Hyundai has also enlarged the climate control display, addressing one of the usability niggles of the earlier model.

These updates aim to improve everyday usability while maintaining the cabin’s tech-focused and minimalistic identity.

Ioniq 6 N Line brings visual aggression

Debuting alongside the base model is the Ioniq 6 N Line, a design-focused variant that bridges the gap between standard EV and full-blown performance model.

Drawing heavily from the RN22e concept car, the N Line adds more sculptural, wing-shaped bumpers and a simplified side sill line to exaggerate the vehicle’s stance.

Black accents dominate the rear, echoing the RN22e’s styling cues, while the Parametric Pixel lamps remain a signature element. This N Line version doesn’t include drivetrain changes yet but lays the visual groundwork for what comes next.

Hyundai capped off its reveal by confirming the Ioniq 6 N - its high-performance EV flagship - will be fully unveiled in July.

While no technical details were released, the teaser suggests the streamliner will finally gain the dynamic credentials to match its design. It's set to join the Ioniq 5 N in Hyundai's performance lineup.

“Ioniq 6 has evolved from a single Electrified Streamliner into a lineup, each model expressing its own character while staying true to one refined vision,” said Simon Loasby, Head of Hyundai Design Center.
