Behind the scenes of a film produced with a Toyota Prius' rear-view camera

In the hopefully infinitely distant future, when cars have been wiped from the face of the Earth and human travel is undertaken via binary code or microwaves or MySpace, I will be very interested to see what legacy is bestowed upon the Toyota Prius.

The Prius was arguably the first tree-hugging platform to break through the mainstream veneer and let people know that, yes, they could afford and purchase a hybrid car of their very own. The achievement though has been overshadowed by the car's involuntary role among 'car people' as an automotive Antichrist — the car pitched to end turbocharged, oversteer-inducing, fun-fueled car culture. A shame in some ways.

But the Toyota Prius is so much more than just another car. It can be a way of life, it can be the gateway that leads to a greener future, and — as highlighted below by Mommy Comedy — its rear-mounted camera can be used to film a feature-length movie.

"The Prius back-up camera is the only camera that is able to run a person over. Other cameras do not run them over, because they are not cars."

Gold. Absolute gold.
