Unsurprisingly, it was only a matter of time before Porsche unveiled a less 'SUV-like' version of its Taycan Cross Turismo, and in doing so, has replaced the 'Cross' with a 'Sport'.
Both this Sport Turismo and the regular Taycan sedan were also revealed in a GTS trim, which like the rest of Porsche's GTS-badged vehicles, is meant to be the sweet spot in performance between road and track.

According to Porsche, this new Taycan GTS is the “optimal combination of performance and luxury”, and in doing so, sits between the 4S model, and the range-topping Taycan Turbo S.
To fit this positioning, the Taycan GTS gets 440kW, a figure that matches that of the Audi RS e-tron GT.
It gets a 93.4kWh battery, with 800-volt charging architecture. Like the regular Taycan, it is one of the fastest charging EVs on the market, with speeds up to 270kW, allowing the GTS to be charging from 5 to 80 per cent in just 22 minutes.
In terms of suspension, it sits on the same underpinnings as the Taycan Turbo, but the calibration is specific to the GTS. Adaptive air suspension comes standard, and it also gets Porsche's torque vectoring system.
On the inside, the GTS wears a unique Race-Tex interior that's in theme with Porsche's other GTS models. The optional interior package will add stitching in either Carmine red or chalk, as well as colour matching seatbelts.
On the outside, this new Sport Turismo drops the plastic wheel arches present on the Cross Turismo, and replaces them with body coloured ones. The ride height is also lowered for on-road duties.
