  • Porsche and Smeg have launched a limited-edition appliance collection inspired by the 1970 Le Mans-winning 917 KH.
  • The range includes FAB28 fridges, kettles, blenders, toasters and coffee machines.
  • Each item features Porsche design cues such as matte-black accents and numbered editions limited to 1970 units.

Porsche and Smeg have joined forces in a collaboration that fuses racetrack heritage with countertop cool.

The partnership brings together two icons of performance and design, unveiling a capsule range of limited-edition kitchen appliances, from fridges and coffee machines to blenders, kettles and toasters, all reimagined through a distinctly Porsche lens.

“At the heart of this collaboration lies a shared philosophy: to craft objects that are not only functional but also emotionally resonant,” says Stefan Büscher, CEO of Porsche Lifestyle Group. Smeg’s Chairman, Vittorio Bertazzoni, adds that the partnership “pushes the boundaries of what a kitchen appliance can represent,” calling it “a tribute to craftsmanship, to legacy, and to the beauty of everyday rituals".

The hero pieces pay homage to Porsche’s first-ever overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1970.

The standout Fridge 917 Salzburg and Bean-to-Cup Coffee Machine 917 Salzburg both wear the race car’s signature red and white Salzburg livery, complete with the number 23 roundel, each strictly limited to 1,970 numbered units.

Alongside them are two other finishes familiar to Porsche fans: Carrara White Metallic and Shade Green Metallic.

These tones carry across the wider range of FAB28 fridges, kettles, blenders and toasters, each finished with matte black detailing, subtle striping, and minimalist silhouettes. Even the interiors get a darker touch to echo Porsche’s precision aesthetic.

Each appliance delivers more than looks. The coffee machine includes a built-in grinder for barista-level brews, while the toaster offers six browning levels and a “Bagel” mode that toasts just one side.

The kettle’s 1.7-litre capacity boils enough for seven cups, and its auto shut-off at 100°C adds a safety nod to everyday performance.

The blender rounds things out with four manual speeds, three preset modes, and a Pulse function, perfect for the morning smoothie pit stop.

Porsche and Smeg’s tie-up is less about brand logos and more about lifestyle ethos: precision meets passion, and the morning ritual suddenly feels a little faster.
