An upgraded version of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S has been unveiled at the 2015 Detroit motor show. Under the bonnet there's an revised version of the company's twin-turbo 4.8-litre V8, which now develops 419kW of power and 800Nm of torque. That's up 15kW and 50Nm on the soon-to-be-replaced model. The revised Turbo S can complete the 0-100km/h standard in 4.1 seconds, a 0.4sec improvement on the current model. Top speed has been lifted to 284km/h from 283km/h. 
The all-wheel-drive system continuously sends power to the rear axle, with power shifted to the front when deemed necessary. The car also features torque vectoring and tilt reduction. Porsche claims the reworked Cayenne Turbo S can complete a lap of the Nurburgring Nordschleife in under eight minutes, or 7:59.74 to be precise. 
Composite ceramic brakes are fitted all around; at the front are 420mm discs with 10-piston calipers, while four-piston units and 370mm discs reside out back. Standard features include LED headlights and 21-inch alloy wheels. Available options include a black-on-cream interior and a sports exhaust system with switchable sound symposer. 
The Cayenne Turbo S goes on sale in Australia during the second quarter of 2015, priced from $284,700 plus on-road costs.
