Ferrari is no stranger to exclusivity yet it's latest tailor made 488 Pista will be one of the hardest models to get a hold of, even for the most devoted customer.
In the past Ferrari has required applications, interviews and even personal collection details just to be accepted to purchase models like LaFerrari Aperta or FXX Enzo. But in the case of the 'Piloti Ferrari' - a specifications package for the track-focused 488 Pista - the prerequisite is very clear cut; it's available exclusively to existing Ferrari customers involved in the company's motorsport programmes.
That could include anything from owning one of the company's ex-Formula 1 cars, competing in GT3 racing or participating in one of Ferrari's various 488 Challenge championships.
If you tick that box then you're now able to order the company's latest track-focused 488 Pista in with 'Piloti Ferrari' package.

The Piloti Ferrari 488 Pista will be available in four racing inspired base colours - Rosso Corsa, Blu Tour De France, Nero Daytona and Argento Nürburgring - and feature a a new livery reminiscent of Ferrari's championship winning 488 GTE race car.
Central stripes in the colours of the Italian flag run down the middle of the supercar with a laurel celebrating Ferrari's WEC and the word "PRO" indicating the class the car raced in. The Italian flag also appears on the car’s flanks which are adorned with the personal race number of each client. The matte black S-Duct and the natural carbon-fibre ‘dovetail’ suspended rear spoiler and vent surrounds round off the personalisation of the exterior.
The interior is fitted with black Alcantara throughout, including the seats which are upholstered with a special perforated version of the material that incorporates the Italian flag in the central band of the backrest.
The number that features on the external livery also appears on the base of the steering wheel, while all the carbon-fibre trim parts have a matte finish.
Italian colours are also clearly visible on the edge of the gearshift paddles and on the floormats which, like the carpeting itself, are made of a special technical fabric.
The personalisation of the interior is completed by an exclusive identification plate and sill trim in carbon-fibre, the latter with the Tailor Made logo.
Like the Pista, Piloti 488s will be powered by the latest version of Ferrari's 3.9-litre turbocharged V8 which has been voted best engine in the world for the third consecutive year.
The engine is the most powerful V8 in Ferrari history, producing 530kW of power at 8000rpm and 770Nm of torque, achievable at 3000rpm in 7th gear, propelling the 488 Pista from 0-100km/h in 2.85 seconds and onto top speed of over 340km/h.
