Nissan's big brutish van learns to drift with Chris Forsberg
When Nissan's marketing executives discussed versatility as a critical factor for their NV Cargo van, I'm not exactly sure its ability to drift around tight and twisty obstacle courses was what they had in mind.
But here were are, former Formula Drift winner Chris Forsberg tackling a circuit in the Fisher & Paykel-spec behemoth.
Despite being part of an admittedly thin and lame April first gag, there's a lot to love here. The big burly van reportedly only took a locked differential and a hydraulic handbrake to transform it into a driftarella, as Forsberg flings it seemingly effortlessly around the confined circuit, through buildings, and around haphazardly placed forklifts.
Manufacturers; could we please have locked differentials and hydraulic handbrakes come as standard in future? Please and thank you.
