Without a doubt the most distinctive feature of the Tesla Model S and Model X interior is the absolutely enormous 17-inch touch-screen.
The nature of the technology behind the screen has seen the American brand play all sorts of games with its owners via a range of 'easter eggs'. From maps switching to looking like Mars to cars performing full on 'holiday shows' with their lights and doors during the Christmas season.
The manufacturer's latest easter egg comes from their 8.1 firmware update, and lets drivers turn that huge screen into a giant digital canvas. It's called Sketch Pad.
Drivers (or their passengers) who have downloaded the update can simply tap the Tesla logo at the top of the screen three times to access the easter egg and draw whatever they want — as highlighted in the video above.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk unveiled the trick to the world on Twitter, via a set of instructions, plus his own creation — a unicorn fart powering a car (naturally).
Maybe this in part helps underline a report that came out earlier this week by J.D. Power, which suggested that Tesla owners don't care about reported issues with the Model S and Model X, due to them seeing themselves as “pioneers who enjoy being early adopters of new technology.”
