Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Sedan safety car joins Bathurst 12 Hour

The Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour, an event quickly becoming famed for having the most exceptional gathering of contemporary race cars in Australasia, have revealed the safety car for this year's edition of the race — a Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Sedan. Very pretty.

Of course, this isn't the first time Mercedes-Benz have produced a safety car, with their history of safety cars in Formula 1 both long and decorated.

“Mercedes-Benz has a proud heritage at Mount Panorama and we’re excited to bring a strong presence back to the Bathurst 12 Hour” said Horst von Sanden, CEO and Managing Director, Mercedes-Benz Cars Australia/Pacific.

“We’re thrilled to showcase the performance and safety of our vehicles at such an iconic event, and feel honoured to continue our provision of the Official Safety Car.”

The 2016 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour will take place at on the hallowed Mountain over February 4–7, with Mercedes-Benz jostling for the win alongside McLaren, Audi, Nissan, and many more marques.
