Uh oh.
It hasn't been on the Kiwi market for long, but the new Holden ZB Commodore has been recalled for a problem with its rear seat-belts.
"We have identified a condition where the rear left and right seatbelts may not have been installed correctely when the vehicle was manufactured," says the recall.
"The rear centre seat belt is not affected. If the vehicle is in a collision the seatbelts may not operate as designed."
Speaking to Driven, a Holden New Zealand spokesperson said that letters will be sent out to customers this week prompting them to visit their local dealer for a check that only takes a few minutes.
"There are no instances of incorrect installation in NZ, but nevertheless we urge customers to complete the recall at their earliest possible convenience to ensure ongoing peace of mind," they added.
This comes off a mixed few weeks for the ZB. While the car has achieved plenty of critical acclaim as well as positive March sales figures in New Zealand, it's also been the poster child for slumping sales over the ditch.
Not to mention Holden ditching the six-cylinder engine in their Supercars campaign, well into the development process.
