Ever wanted to buy a supercar or hypercar, only to stumble at the last hurdle because the interior space didn't quite look enough like a bordello?
We tested the McLaren 720S last year, and found it to be damn decent at basically everything. Hypercar pace for supercar money, enough damping and comfort to make driving it as a daily through rough and broken roads a breeze, and a well rounded, well finished interior space.
The mixture of carbon fibre, metal, leather, and alcantara (a mixture entirely customizable) would be enough for most anyone. But, maybe not quite everyone.
MSO (McLaren Special Operations) already offer a fair share of 'mad scientist' modifications for McLarens, but for that tiny sliver of society who's thirst cannot be quenched by the factory or the design boffin department, there's Carlex Design.
Carlex, a Polish tuner, have just released pictures of their latest custom 720S creation. And while the exterior sports some changes (different wheels and a set of — slightly ironic — wing decals among them), we need to talk about this interior.
Because, holy moly.
Everything has been reupholstered in a deep, deep purplish burgundy. The kind of deep burgundy traditionally reserved for sleazy private booths and the carpet in your grandparents' living room.
The, uhhh, unique colourway is broken up by the 720S's existing carbon fibre trim as well as several panels of white leather. And all of it is woven together with contrast stitching in a pattern filled to the brim with layers and layers of triangles and lines.
And to top it all off, a big fuzzy '720S' insignia is pressed into the passenger side.
