Navman has launched its 2025 range of dash cams in New Zealand, with a line up it says "redefines high tech vehicle protection, value and safety" and includes a new addition in the form of its first-ever three camera dash cam - the MiVue True 4K Pro Surround that includes front, rear and side impact coverage.

The company says the MiVue True 4K Pro Surround is the most comprehensive dash camera in its class and features a three-camera surveillance system housed in two physical units; the front-facing camera captures everything on the road ahead in true 4K Ultra HD 2160P via an 8 Megapixel sensor, while the second unit combines a rear-facing camera and a wide angle interior-facing camera with a 170-degree field of view that can capture what is happening out of the side windows.

The MiVue True 4K Pro Surround is a beast of a dash cam that has three cameras and records in full 4K.

Navman says this design provides comprehensive coverage - forward, backwards, sideways and interior - in one "sleek high tech package", while with the optional SmartBox accessory the MiVue True 4K Pro Surround also offers monitoring of the vehicle while parked with smart and low power parking modes.

The MiVue True 4K Pro Surround will retail for $619 including a 128GB microSD card, while the SmartBox accessory adds a further $69 and requires installation for an additional cost.

The rear camera also has a front-facing wide-angle interior camera that can capture side impacts.

Navman's mid-range products for 2025 also get 4K resolution, with the MiVue True 4K and MiVue True 4K DC recording in full 4K 2160P Ultra HD at 30fps, also with an 8 Megapixel sensor.

Navman says the introduction of 4K allows the smallest details that can be critical in proving fault to be captured, even in difficult low-light conditions, and the MiVue True 4K cameras also includes a 3-Axis G-Sensor for precise impact details and built-in GPS that tags location and speed, while the DC version adds a rear camera.

Both dash cams come with a 64GB microSD card, with the MiVue True 4K retailing for $299 and MiVue True 4K DC retailing for $399.

The mid-range MiVue dash cams are now 4K as well, with either single or dual camera variants.

Other additions to the Navman range for 2025 include a new entry level model and a new helmet camera for motorcycle and scooter riders.

The entry-level MiVue 270 Safety records at 2.5K Quad HD/30fps through a 4 Megapixel sensor and a 140-degree wide-angle lens, can support microSD cards up to 128GB and retails for $199, while the MiVue Rider DC Helmet Camera features a 4.5 hour 3200mAh battery,  IP67 weatherproof rating and records in 2.5K 1440P Quad HD at 30fps, which can be dropped down to 1080P Full HD when riding to record at 60fps.

Navman has also launched a new helmet cam with front and rear-facing cameras for bikers (left), as well as an entry-level dash cam packed with ADAS safety features from the top-line models (right).

The helmet cam uses a secure mount with magnetic sensors that automatically turn on the device and start recording when it is attached, and retails for $399.

The new additions to Navman's range for 2025 all come with intelligent safety alerts for speed limits and school zones, as well as Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) warnings, such as lane departure warnings, and front and rear collision warnings.
