Bespoke McLaren 720S by MSO unveiled
Just after Mclaren revealed the 720S to the world at Geneva International Motor Show, the British makes in-house personalisation service, McLaren Special Operations (MSO), unveiled their bespoke capabilities on their new supercar.
McLaren say the 720S ‘Velocity’ by MSO showcases the ‘almost limitless scope of personalisation possibilities’ available to customers kitting out their new Super Series car.
“The MSO mission is to fulfil customer desire for exclusivity in their choice of McLaren,” explained Ansar Ali, Managing Director of McLaren Special Operations.
“The lean, sculpted beauty of the new 720S provides the perfect starting point for owners to be creative and the specification of this MSO 720S ‘Velocity’ showcases a taste of the customisation options that are possible.”
So if the all-new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, MonoCage II chassis, McLaren Special Orange paint and gull-wing doors don’t quite fit the bill for your taste in supercar, rest easy, McLaren will have you covered.
The new ‘Velocity’ paint job is comprised of two pearlescent shades of red; a new shade, Nerello Red, is used on the front and upper body panels of the car and fades into a Volcano Red that covers the sides and rear of the car. The Lightweight alloy wheels are finished in a metallic bronze.
Exterior carbon fibre parts selected from the MSO collection also features on the 720S ‘Velocity’, including the bonnet, rear deck vent, service cover, rear aero bridge, and sill cover.
Inside the cabin of the 720S Velocity you’ll find Carbon Black Alcantara throughout. Staying consistent with the exterior Velocity theme, Harissa Red highlights are continued throughout the interior, including on the fascia, steering wheel, doors and sports seats.
Pricing for the 720S starts at $456,000, which includes noes-lifting technology and a 360-degree camera.
If you require the services of MSO (or like me, simply enjoy playing with configuration tools online) you can build your very own 720S here, and get in touch with MSO directly here.
