Mini is pulling out all the stops at this year’s IAA Mobility show in Munich, unveiling two exclusive John Cooper Works (JCW) showcars and inviting visitors to experience an immersive slice of Central London without ever leaving Bavaria.
More power, more personality
Inside the Mini Pavilion at Lenbachplatz, it’s all about speed and style.
The brand is celebrating its motorsport heritage with a pair of unique JCW showcars, created in collaboration with a globally recognised lifestyle brand (Mini's being tight-lipped on which one). These concepts apparently embody the spirit of JCW racing with a playful twist, one that’s unmistakably Mini.
It’s also more than just a fresh coat of paint. The Pavilion itself will be completely redesigned for the duration of the show, turning the spotlight fully on the high-performance JCW sub-brand.
Welcome to Mini London

Just a few blocks away at Max-Joseph-Platz, Mini is taking things outside. Their elaborately staged “Open Space” installation turns Munich’s stately old town into a pint-sized London cityscape, complete with cheeky British humour tucked into the details.
The real stars here are electric: the JCW Electric, Aceman SE, and Countryman SE ALL4 are all on show, offering visitors a close-up look at Mini all-electric future.

Better still, you can take them for a spin, as test drives are available from this location, courtesy of Mini and Sixt.
For the spec-minded, the Mini JCW Electric boasts a WLTP range of 363 to 371 km and sips just 15.3 to 15.6kWh/100 km. The Aceman SE comes in at 14.0 to 14.8kWh/100 km, while the Countryman SE ALL4 stretches its legs with a range of 399 to 432 km and a consumption of 16.8 to 18.5kWh/100 km.
Mini mates, mark your calendars

Mini fans aren’t just spectators this year - they’re part of the show.
On September 13, the brand’s “Community Day” will see Mini clubs driving in convoy from Lake Tegernsee to the Pavilion, capping off with music, a BBQ and plenty of bonnet-to-bonnet banter.
The IAA Mobility 2025, themed “It’s All About Mobility,” runs from September 9 to 14 and is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of visitors. If Mini's antics are anything to go by, this year’s event will be anything but business as usual.
