Hartan collab adds fresh colours, clever kit and AMG flair.

  • Mercedes-Benz and Hartan have introduced updated pushchairs, including a Performance model.
  • The refreshed Mercedes-Benz range adds new Vintage Blue and Verde Silver colours.
  • The Mercedes-AMG GT2 model remains the compact option, now offered with expanded designs.

Mercedes-Benz has taken its design obsession somewhere delightfully unexpected: the pram aisle.

The brand has unveiled a refreshed lineup of pushchairs created with German manufacturer Hartan, including a new Performance model proudly wearing the historic Mercedes star for the first time.

Vintage Blue, baby

The headline act is the Performance pushchair, now offered in a classy Vintage Blue finish. It’s designed to channel classic Mercedes cues, right down to the star badge, while keeping things firmly practical. Parents get features such as the Quick-Fix safety harness, a roomy carry-cot with a pop-up backrest, a panoramic ventilation zone, and an optional fixed car-seat adapter that flips out in seconds.

Alongside it sit the Avantgarde and All-Terrain variants. Avantgarde gets a telescopic push handle - a simple idea that solves the tall-parent/short-parent problem, plus an ergonomic swivelling seat and multi-adjustable footrest.

The All-Terrain version, true to the name, wears chunky cross-country wheels with special-grip tyres and includes a hand-operated deceleration brake for extra downhill control.

All Mercedes-Benz models are trimmed in “Vegan Leatherette”, a high-tech fabric that aims for leather looks without the upkeep. It’s tough too, with 100,000 abrasion cycles under its belt, and breathable for warmer days. Colour choices now include Rubellite, Opalite, Truffle and the fresh Vintage Blue and Verde Silver.

AMG gets in on the parenting game

For those who want something sportier in the boot, the Mercedes-AMG GT2 pushchair focuses on compactness, folding down small enough to slide into most car boots while still offering generous space in both the seat and carry-cot. AMG’s signature cross-spoke wheels complete the look.

A new Siena Brown design joins the AMG range, adding cognac-coloured accents, embroidered branding and contrast stitching. The existing Bright Light and Night Black themes carry on with updated detailing.

Clever comforts and matching kit

All models gain an individually adjustable suspension system tuned to the child’s weight, essentially adaptive damping for prams, and every pushchair ships with a Bag2Go organiser that clips to the handle. It doubles as a handbag thanks to its strap and carry handle.

Hartan also supplies a suite of accessories: colour-matched changing bags, Sunline Plus sun and mosquito protection, winter footmuffs, parasols, headrests and even a hand-warmer glove lined with fluffy faux-fur for frosty morning walks.

Models are available through selected specialist baby retailers, with a three-year Hartan warranty.

As motoring detours go, this one is unexpectedly charming and proof that if there’s a wheel involved, Mercedes-Benz will find a way to make it stylish.
