Three GLC Coupe models
Mercedes-Benz has launched the new GLC Coupe, with three models becoming available in New Zealand.
The company says the new models unite the styling of a coupe with the multi functional capabilities of a modern SUV.
The entry-level GLC 220 d will sell for $98,900, the GLC 250 for $103,900, and the GLC 250d for $105,900.
All models are fitted with 4MATIC all-wheel-drive and are equipped with the 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission as standard.
The GLC 220 d is powered by a four-cylinder diesel engine producing up to 125 kW and 400 Nm of torque.
The GLC 250 is powered by a turbocharged 2-litre four cylinder petrol engine which produces 155kW and 250 Nm, while the 250 d has a 2.2 litre diesel engine, producing up to 150 kW of power and 500 Nm of torque.
The models are all fitted with 20-inch multi spoke wheels, a diamond radiator grille, dynamic body control sports suspension, a powered tailgate, Garmin map pilot navigation, a 360 degree rear camera, LED intelligent light system, and black ash wood trim as standard.
Additional features on the 250 and 250 d models include leather upholstery, keyless-go and a driver assistance package.
The head of design at Daimler AG, Gorden Wagener, said the models reflected iconic Mercedes-Benz coupe design while symbolising the bipolarity of the brand.
"It is hot and cool," he said.
"With its design idiom of sensual purity,it perfectly embodies our styling philosophy while at the same time representing
contemporary luxury."
The new models are available for order now, with the first arriving in New Zealand in November.
