The A250 Special Edition can be finished in Manufaktur Alpine Grey or Patagonia Red from the brand's customisation division for no extra cost, the first time these premium paint finishes have been offered on the mainstream A-Class.

The A250 Special Edition also features the Night Edition package (with blacked-out exterior detailing including side sills and tailpipes), 19-inch AMG 5-spoke wheels, panoramic sunroof, grey seatbelts and grey contrast stitching on the seats, dashboard and door panels.

Mercedes-Benz NZ says the extras represent $2100 value on the car, which is priced at $82,900.

At the other end of the A-Class range, Mercedes-AMG is set to launch the new A 45 Edition R+ next month.
